Dave Gossage
Professor of Jazz Flute, Department of Performance, Schulich School of Music, McGill University, Montréal, Québec, Canada

Montréal-based multi-instrumentalist best known for his fiery flute and whistle playing, Dave is also a skillful composer, arranger and producer, much in demand in both the traditional and contemporary music scene.  He specializes in jazz and Celtic music

 

 

Alex Kehler
Local Musician and Music Teacher, Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada

With over 20 years of experience, Alex’s training as a baroque violinist makes him a versatile traditional fiddle player. He plays mainly Celtic music but is at home in other styles.  His current projects include Soulwood, Kehler-Williams Duo, Les Siffleurs de Nuits, La Nef, Skye Consort, and La Mandragore.  Over the past 5 years his passion for Scandinavian music has made him a rare bird in North America, playing the Swedish nyckelharpa.

April O’Donoughue, MA

April successfully orchestrated all three editions of the Montréal International Celtic Festival as well as the first two editions of Celtic Harmonies International Festival as both Executive and Artistic Director. Her planning efforts led her to Cape Breton where she became familiar with its music scene. She also met with ethnomusicologists, local and international musicians, other Celtic festival organizers and historians. Having graduated from the École Supérieure de Musique Vincent D'Indy in Montréal with a Diplôme Supérieur II, Grande Distinction /Piano, she has spent the last fifteen years researching and appreciating Celtic music.
